Camp Peniel is a christian youth camp in Marble Falls, Texas. Their mission is to provide opportunities for campers to have face to face experiences with God through Christ-centered adventures. Resident campers are ages 8-14 and day campers are ages 6-10 and there is one week of High school camp.
Job DescriptionAs Girl's Camp Director, this summer I was responsible for all programming and staff training along with my co-director. We planned and organized the programming such as Bible studies, all camp games, night activities, and "Campfire stories"/devotionals. We implemented these activities with the help of the summer staff. During the first two weeks of the summer, we assisted in training all counselors. Throughout the summer we continued to oversee and supervise counselors through daily staff meetings and weekly staff Bible studies. Other responsibilities were as needed. Benefits and OpportunitiesDirectors at Camp Peniel are paid $2,185. You receive all room and board as well as food for the summer. There are incredible opportunities for adventure such as hiking, lake activities, sports, and many more. It is a great environment to work in and you will feel welcomed immediately. |
RequirementsTo be a director at Camp Peniel you must have a growing relationship with God and faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. You must be able to articulate the gospel and share it with others. You must be 21 years old. You must be able to pass a background check. AchiEvements:This summer I learned a lot about organizing people and leading a staff. I gained much experience in having to adapt to your surroundings and being flexible. My time as a Director at Camp Peniel has helped me understand the importance of organization and the value in a good staff. I gained knowledge in outdoor skills, such as survival skills, canoeing, outdoor cooking, first aid, life guarding, and many others. |
